Ouch!!!!

well....what a week......one day a lopsided win...the next a lopsided loss.....

In a game that was slated to be a epic battle..turned into a one sided affair which saw the leos hammer the riders 42-12 at Mosaic Stadium...The riders managed to turn the ball over 6 times in the game, 3 times inside their own 35 yard line.....

Here is my analysis of the game ....

The lions humbled the rider fans.....

I still wasn't extremely impressed with the lions offense other than Clermont and Jackson....they were both rider killers today....but good teams find ways to win and thats just what the leos did tonight.....They took a page out of the riders play book and didn't turn the ball over.....

We handed out a few gifts as well....you can't give the lions or any team in the league the ball inside the 30 to start and win games....those were all gift wrapped points.....

Joseph struggled hard.....BC secondary did a great job, Kerry was constantly looking around finding nothing open....when he did get the ball off he was ineffective at best......it wasn't his night and the offense was not clicking at all.....We constantly seemed to want to go outside the hashmarks and it wasn't working ...at all....

Crandel looked better than KJ but also wasn't impressive...3 picks.....I'm torn to who I want to start next week....Crandel moved the ball..but was tossing up ducks just as bad as KJ was in some cases.....

Our Running game was non-existent today...again....granted we were playing catch up the entire game....we need to start using cates from the start of the game....

I have trouble laying any blame to our Defense....they were on the field the entire game and played great IMO....no defense can be expected to make stops when pinned up against their own goal line to start drives....

Special teams was horrendous.....Armstead....shame on you...you were pathetic......

we got killed here....BC had great field possession all game because of solid returns....

pauly did what pauly does....punt the ball great.....we start way to many drives inside our own 20...its usually not a good thing when half the stadium has a chance at the 10 000 bucks.....

I thought Matt D and Corey Grant had solid games....Matty is a YAC specialist.....

I was disappointed we didn't use play action as much tonight.....to me it seemed like we didn't try to get as diverse in the play book as we did against Calgary....Kudos to the lions....they have a good team....

Fantuz is struggling hard right now.....if he makes that catch in the first quarter...the game could have had a much different outcome.....

we had our opportunities in this game....but turnovers and penalties killed us........
