Bomber Beat Down.....

Well...after getting some rest last night I finally felt like sharing my thoughts on yesterdays performance.

First off..hats off to the bombers and Kevin Glenn....He was great out there yesterday.....he controlled the ball and left our offense on the sidelines way to long....a big win for them.

Rider Talk...I don't want to be to negative but there are some things that need to be pointed out.

The biggest loss was not the game...was Matt Dominguez getting injured late in the fourth quarter...he will be undergoing a MRI this week.....

Offense-Well we didn't see much of them when the game was still in question. We had just over 8 minutes possession in the first half and had two or three, 2 and outs...the 2nd drive (the scoring drive) ate up most of that 8 minutes as well.....The bomber D gave us nothing....
The O-line struggled big time today...Kerry had no time to throw the ball and he was decked a couple times.....

Kerry also didn't move his feet much....we all know how effective he is out of the pocket and we didn't see any of that today...Kevin Glenn outrun him today....no way that should happen...

Matty D was the bright spot today....I hope he is ok after going down late in the fourth. Reports now are saying 2 or 3 weeks before he will be back in the lineup.

Cates had only a few touches again today but looked pretty good when he did get the ball....

Fantuz...taking a lot of heat...but not necessarily all granted...I thought he played well...the catch he made/dropped/whatever could have gone a number of ways..but its all speculation anyways because it was never challenged....

Crandel looked good when he came in....though it was in garbage time and by that point the bombers were sitting in a soft defense....
Offense has to go to work this week and be better next week....Expect Kerry to rebound this week in Calgary....

I think palmer knew the outcome from the opening kick off....he paced up and down the sideline the entire game...talking to no one....back and forth back and forth.......it was pretty comical....

Defensive..............

Johnson, Lucas, Robinson....you guys got rented tonight bad......suspect play by all three over the last few weeks kind of came to a head yesterday.....and it was ugly....

Sloppy tackling.....good god......Hunt, Lloyd and those above did a piss poor job tackling.....yikes....At times it felt like we were watching the Hamilton Tiger Cats out there....

The line....no pressure for the most part today.....credit Kevin Glenn's release for that....

The on bright spot......Fred Perry....as always...he was making tackles down field and all over the place......he was the only one that showed up to play...

Crossing routes-I've been saying it for weeks...its gonna kill us...and it killed us big time today......I couldn't sink any deeper into my seat yesterday watching them march down field unmercifully.....

I have nothing nice to really say about the defense....so I will just leave it where I have left it...

Special Teams....Sloppy tackling again led to some big runs for the bombers...nothing bigger than the opening kick in the second half....The game was really on the line with that series....they give up a 60+ yarder and the bombers stick it in the end zone a few plays later...We still had a chance before that unfolded.....

Holmes looked pretty good ....he shake and baked for some extra yards....

Congi had some good kicks into his practice net.....


5 game streak came to a halt Sunday.....The team couldn't have played worse.....

But folks....the sky is not falling...this is still the CFL's best team..........
Next week we have the major task of bringing the stampeder's back down to reality......They are gloating over there about having 5 wins and moving up the pecking order in the west.....
