Total Team effort........not even the huge wind could slow the riders down today......

Huge win to put us back in the win column....

Start off with special Teams:

With the wind crazy today...hats off to the special team unit...other than a missed field goal, everyone did a great job..

JB with a great heads up play on the punt recovery.

Not to much to complain about on special teams...we won the field position battle pretty much all day....

making tackles today= A+

Defense:

Had to step up today....they did just that.........for the most part the final score flattered the Als big time

IMO the first TD they gave up was because of a questionable call in the end zone which led to the ball on the 1....

the second TD was in garbage time when we were playing a very soft zone....

The front 4 owned Montreal's Offensive line today....Big games by Shultz, Chick, Adams and Perry...they all made some great plays and really forced AC to make bad decisions....

Proof of that was in the second quarter when Montreal couldn't get the ball past their own 30 yard line...

Tackling was improved big time....I didn't see any missed tackles.

Gordon looked pretty good in place of Clovis...

Johnson still is questionable IMO but even he was making first tackles....

Reggie Hunt...Big day!.....great to see a leader like him step up huge...he had 2 sacks and shut down Payton on a key 3rd down try to force a turnover...

Stancil....11 tackles.....enough said there...

Great job defense.....hopefully we can keep this up!

Offense:

First off......Great job by the O line..Kerry had all day in the pocket......speaking of KJ


Wow....so much negativity about Joseph around here lately and look what he does...a marvelous performance....300 + yards, 3 TDs, and 73 rushing.....I'd like to see what the naysayers can come up with this week to try to bring him down........

The offense continues to amaze me....they spread the ball to so many receivers it has to keep defenses scratching their heads

Corey Holmes...big day...2 TDs..I am giving props where props are deserved.......great game today....great scheme by the rider coaching staff to get him the ball and use him to the best of his abilities.

Wes Cates....Lots of negative vibes all week about this guy as well.....I wonder what they can say this week after 86 yards though the air and 46 on the ground...on only 9 touches...great game by him...his catches out of the back field really killed the Als today...

Fantuz has found his stride....he really looked like MD out there today..cutting back, breaking tackles, piling on the YAC yards after catches..this guy is a real gem....The slump is over......onlythe morons on CBC would they refer to him as Neil Szarka after a reception.......hmmmmm who is this Neil Szarka you speak of....

DJ had another solid game as well...with his 2nd circus catch of the year for a TD...league leading TD I might add....

As I said earlier..the final score really flattered the Als....2 turnovers early on and deep in Montreal territory kept the game close till halftime.....

Next stop Cowtown........A win in Calgary next week and I can all but taste a home playoff game.....
