756*

Well I am not a big baseball fan......ok to be honest I think baseball sucks....but as a sports fan I couldn't help but watch the hunt for 756. I was lucky enough to catch the home run Barry stuck out in right center field about a hour ago.....

My random thoughts of all this......

It seemed to me that MLB and a lot of the media tried to down play what is truly a historic feat. Some big baseball analysts went as far as trying to say Tom Glavine's 300th win was a bigger than the home run chase. Ya right.....23 other pitchers have topped that mark....its not a lot ....but he is not exactly sitting along......

MLB marked balls for A-Rods 500th and in my honest opinion tried to make a bigger deal out of his 500th than Barry's crowning shot.....obviously all Barry's balls were marked too....but I bet the ones for his 500th weren't.......

MLB never batted an eye at Mcguire or Sosa during their major single season home run chase in the late 90s even though both pretty much have admitted hitting the juice......in fact they never cared one bit about steroids in general until about 4 years ago.....

Bud Selig didn't even clap when he tied the record and it seemed to me like he pretty much had to be told to attend the games....what a joke....Selig is a whole different story in itself though....

So why did MLB all of a sudden wanna pretend Barry Bonds doesn't exist? Is it because he isn't really media friendly? It Could be.......

Who knows...I have never really liked Barry Bonds...but come on...this is one of the greatest records in sports he just passed....steroids or no steroids..you still have to get up to the plate and hit the ball.......and for Barry its even been harder...the guy rarely gets pitches to hit and many pitchers just pretty much give him the free pass.......so kudos to you Barry........

What Barry has done is something we all need to stand up and give the standing O too......cheater or not.......

756 is in the books...and you won't see a asterisk from this guy.......
