Just in Case you didn't see it.....

What a day.......what a game......



First off....the retro jerseys.....incredible......they were unreal.....I will be owning one ASAP.

The crowd....Its the reason I travel from where ever I am to get to Regina for game day.....nothing like it in sports....its addicting and something everyone just needs to experience....

The game.....well........

The two premiere teams in the CFL going toe to toe....No 3rd stringer QB's, no excuses about a beat up opponent. The riders had met there match. A legit team with a legit QB, a legit RB and plenty of legit WR's

Kevin Glenn was here..the man who has been the number one rated QB all year........and Kevin Glenn did not disappoint. He was a stud on the field and did what he does best...execute.....But on this day a different QB would be the hero....Our very own Kerry Joseph...He went toe to toe with Glenn and put up roughly the same numbers..The difference......KJ's feet got us the "W" and two points......

Special Teams-Congi's 50 yarder was money. the miss...I am not to sure..but seemed planned......our coverage was good all game....We won the field position game big time and in the second half that was a huge factor in holding The bombers offense to 8 points

Defense....Both teams struggled to slow down down either offensive group.......The week off showed on the boys but they managed to play great in the second half.

I thought Chick looked pretty good as well as Mr. Shultz. Perry is always good and rarely disappoints any paying patron. Charlie did move the chains but overall I thought our boys did a decent job containing him.....they didn't allow him to take over the game.

Pressure...it was lacking...but what do you expect when your rushing a guy like Glenn who unloads the ball so fast.....
Our Secondary was caught sleeping a few times and they made us pay. I still think the crossing routes are killing us.....The underneath stuff truly makes me lose sleep at night...but hey....we are winning so I won't question coach Hall.

Offense:
Wow...KJ keeps getting better week in and week out. I expected to see more of Wes Cates. I didn't expect to see so many long bombs out of the gate....The long ball looked great......KJ was on his game even though we left at least 8 points out there.......

Fantuz impressed me....the catch he made on the long throw down the east sidelines was a thing of beauty. He wasn't even looking at the ball..turned to look and it landed in his mitts.

MD-the guy does nothing but catch balls and be a stud.

Corey Grant-made some huge plays....not surprised...I like him because he knows his role within this offense and never whines, moans or even blinks....he just goes out there and when his number is called....makes the play. This guy gets little to no attention from fans/media/etc but my guess is in the locker room gets some serious respect.

Washington. Great outing...the long one for 51 set the stage for the comeback. at this point my state of intoxication was very high and I had you confused for MattyD. my apologies.....

and of Course ..Kerry Joseph....wow...I hope you stay healthy buddy...because you are truly the X factor in this offense.

Up next....the rematch....

I think this could be the pivotal match of the year for both clubs.

The riders at 7-2..with a win in Winnipeg all of a sudden would look like a lock on a home playoff game...the only question....would it be the west semi or west final......

The bombers with a loss would be 5-4....trouble in paradise for sure.......See ya there on Sunday!
