The Riders inability to win in the regular season in Edmonton.....

This is what the green and white are up against friday night.....

This is a pivotal home and home in the schedule......even this early into the season....

Here is why.....The riders at 2-1 can separate themselves from Edmonton 1-1-1 and keep the distance they have from Calgary at 1-2......2 wins also keeps them on pace with front runner BC.
I believe if the riders win friday night they will sweep the home and home......but lets play one game at a time here.....

Game 1:

Ricky Ray has been the bright spot for the esks this year so far....no surprise by me or most who follow the league...They must be able to contain him friday night...will they? I believe so.....here is why.....granted the Defense gave up a ton of points against BC...they did so on short fields and no defense can be asked to stop any team under those circumstances let alone the defending champs....Our secondary has been great this year and our front guys lead the league in sacks at 16..The riders D line should be able to hurry Ray into bad decisions and force him to make mistakes.....

The big question....the offense.....they tried to do their best rendition of the Calgary Stampeders.....being great one week and not showing up the next..I am confident under the direction of Kent Austin the boys will bounce back this week and show the CFL what they are all about...

Expect rebound games from Jason Armstead, DJ FLick and Andy Fantuz...all 3 will be wanting to prove themselves this week after troubling performances last week........

We need to be better on special teams this week....we lost the field postion game badly last week and most people don't take into account how important that factor is in a game......

If Armstead struggles again this week...look for coach Austin to shake things up in the returing department.......

I think we are a far better team than Edmonton but this is gonna be no easy victory...........
